Brau Beviale 2026: Rethinking packaging decontamination for the evolving beverage industry !

From November 10 to 12, 2026, the beverage industry will meet in Nuremberg for BrauBeviale, one of Europe’s key events for beverage production and packaging.

With this year’s edition focusing on the future of beverages, resource efficiency and new product opportunities, the exhibition provides a valuable opportunity to discover the technologies shaping the next generation of beverage production.

Claranor will be there!

And at our booth 7.329,  the focus will be clear: rethinking packaging decontamination through Pulsed Light to support the beverage industry’s evolving needs for product safety, microbiological performance, packaging integrity, resource efficiency and production flexibility.

Why packaging decontamination is evolving?

As beverage continue to expand, producers are working with increasingly diverse products and packaging formats. From beer and water to soft drinks, energy drinks, dairy beverages and fermented drinks, production lines need to combine cost efficent, with consistent microbiological control.

This evolution also raises new questions around packaging decontamination. Depending on the application, traditional approaches can involve chemicals, water or thermal treatments. These processes can create additional constraints, from chemical management and rinsing requirements to heat exposure, packaging compatibility and resource consumption.
For producers looking to optimise their production lines, the question is no longer only how to decontaminate packaging, but also:

How can we achieve effective microbial reduction while supporting product safety, packaging integrity, resource efficiency and production flexibility?
At Claranor, we believe there is another way.

JuneShine, a producer of unpasteurized kombucha, uses Claranor Pulsed Light to decontaminate its cans before filling  without chemicals and with low energy consumption.

INNCAN: pulsed light decontamination of beverage cans

For canned beverage applications, Claranor will present INNCAN, a solution dedicated to the decontamination of aluminium cans.

The treatment takes place before filling and sealing and is adapted to ultra-clean line without pasteurization tunnel.

Lid decontamination: protecting canned beverage quality

Claranor will also highlight its lid decontamination solution for beverage cans.

This technology enables the treatment of both sides of the lid:

  • the surface in contact with the product,
  • the external surface exposed during handling.

By reducing the risk of contamination before sealing, this solution contributes to safer canned beverage production processes.

Technology, backed by expertise and support

For Claranor, successful decontamination is not only about the machine.

From the initial application study to microbiological validation, installation and long-term maintenance, producers need support throughout the lifetime of their equipment.

That’s why Claranor provides a complete range of services and technical support, including:

  • Application and process studies
  • Microbiological validation
  • Installation and commissioning
  • Training
  • Maintenance and spare parts
  • Technical support and after-sales service

With more than 700 machines installed worldwide, we combine light-based technology with industrial expertise to deliver validated, reliable solutions adapted to each packaging and production environment.
